Artist's statement as written in the exhibition:
“My sculptures, installations and interactive works transform a series of familiar, ordinary objects into new possibilities of colour, shape, material and encounter.”
Interested in the social behavior of humans, Evdokia’s playful wax and plaster sculptures question both the functionality of objects and how the systems which determine everyday life and society are expected to function. Evdokia’s interactive installations analyse how humans engage with everyday domestic objects, creating new dialogues between them, their meaning, materials and arrangement in space.
